Obituary for Gale Rae Alexander

Gale Rae (Williams) Alexander, 63, Kewaunee, passed away peacefully, Thursday, August 10, 2017 in Kewaunee. She was born Nov. 10, 1953 in Algoma to Richard and Dorothy (Pollock) Williams.

Gale graduated from the Algoma High School She got married to Robert Alexander and they moved to Colorado. Gale worked in the insurance business for a time and then started her own cleaning business. She lived in Colorado for 11 years, before moving back to the Algoma area. In Algoma she worked for a short time with insurance, then took a job as a librarian for the Algoma High School, which became her passion. Later she had to retire due to health issues. To this day she continued to stay friends with many of those students. Gale will be remembered as a loving and giving person. She always did special things for her family and friends on their birthdays, anniversaries or other occasions.

Gale is survived by her son Jerimy Alexander, Silt CO; Jerimy's father Robert Alexander; fiance' Jack Sprecher, Kewaunee; siblings Roberta (Don) Wierichs, Algoma; Virginia Day, South Dakota; Richard (Linda) Williams, Algoma; and her twin sister Dale (George) Hendrix, California; many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother Guy Lee Williams.

Family and friends may call at the SCHINDERLE FUNERAL HOME, Algoma, from 5 PM, Tuesday, August 22, 2017 until the time of the Memorial service at 7 PM with Minister Gloria Butler officiating.
